But it can also be a bit of a challenge to decorate a shared children’s room. Space is required for double beds and toys. You also need to find a good balance between different styles in a small space. Here are some tips for decorating a shared children’s room in a smart and attractive way.

In a shared children’s room, storage is the most important thing. Here it is important to be creative in order to maintain playfulness in the room. Hide storage as much as possible, or why not rebuild a closet, bookshelf, or dresser into something else. Involve the children and let them decide as much as possible. Sometimes they have ideas that we adults unfortunately are not imaginative enough to think about.
Fill the room with paintings and pictures. A birth poster of each child to put over the beds along with a letter poster with the children’s names will be personal and nice. Let the children participate and decide on their favorite color for extra playfulness.

Last but not least, smart bed solutions. Here, a bunk bed is optimal for saving space and instead of using height. Let the creativity flow and transform the bed according to the children’s style. Make it a bus so it also works as a playground, or put up light loops and use nice fabrics to make it super cozy to build huts in. If the children do not like a bunk bed, it is a good idea to build storage under the beds. In this way, you save on the space you would otherwise have needed for a chest of drawers or bookshelf.
