Real or plastic Christmas tree?
Step one, should you go for a real tree or a plastic one? There are, of course, pros and cons to both. A real Christmas tree spreads a fantastic scent throughout the home, is incredibly beautiful, and immediately creates a Christmas spirit. Disadvantages are that it is barren, needs to be watered every day, and can not be reused. Plastic trees can be used year after year, do not need to be cared for, and is available in several designs and sizes. However, they may not create quite as much Christmas spirit and do not smell. We believe that it is entirely up to everyone what they prefer. Choose the Christmas tree you like best!

Lights
When the Christmas tree is inside and in place, the fun begins. Dressing the Christmas tree. Always start with the lighting. Choose either a light loop with a green cord so that it is not visible or cordless lighting to avoid clutter. Setting the lighting is the first step in choosing a theme for the Christmas tree. Should it be traditional, elongated lights that look like candles or small lamps? The small lamps are often available in different colors and with flashing or steady light. Start from the top and work your way down as you set up the lighting.
Glitter and decoration
When it comes to glitter, you should work according to the same principle as with the lights, from top to bottom. Continue on the same theme, either classic or more modern, and choose one color (or several colors if you like) and go crazy! If you choose Christmas baubles, it is good to hang them in clusters of three-and-three, but mix shape and size. Do not forget to finish with a star or sprout at the top.
