Can you describe the feeling of being a woman and a mother?
”Pride! I’m proud of the woman I am today. I’m a woman, a daughter, a wife, a mother, a friend, but most important: I am ME!”
How do you make your children care about human rights and equality?
”Firstly, I tell my daughters that they have to love themselves before they love other people and that they can be whoever they want to be. Always be kind and help each other and be there for each other. Cherish each other’s differences.”
”Most important: I am ME”
Do you believe your own perception of being a woman has changed from when you were younger?
”Absolute! I got bullied when I was younger, I was around seven or eight. They bullied me so much at school. They called me fat, ugly and that I was different. It felt like I was worth nothing, but it made me the woman I am today: A woman that is proud and loving herself.”

What women’s issues are most important to you?
”Uncertainty about the female body. I recognize myself very much in this. We are never satisfied.”
What do you think we all can do to support this issue?
”We should respect everyone and know that you are beautiful the way you are. Stop labeling people.”

What are your own reflections on women’s rights and gender equality where you live in the world?
”I see a lot of injustice, people who judge each other based on appearance or gender. Fortunately, not the people in our immediate vicinity. We are surrounded by lovely people.”
”Don’t label people – you are
beautiful the way you are”
Do you have a special woman you look up to?
”Definitely my mom. She is a strong woman with great standards and values. Always loving to everyone. She enjoys life and is a great example of what makes a good woman.”
